Background Story:

Educators create a story that will
attempt to respond to this
theme. The story is the SETTING,
or the imaginary world that they
will transmit the lesson through.

02

Theme, Rationale, and Objectives:

Educators decide on a
theme to be taught, and
create the lesson rationale
and objectives.

- This is the "WHAT" of the peulá

01

Characters:

With the story, characters will be
created to put this world into life
They will act as the Agents of
education

03

So what is our methodology?

We use the Peulot Methodology

Originated in Jewish Youth Movements, this methodology is a teaching method that:

a) Immerses those being educated into micro cosmos or
imaginary worlds

b) Teaches about any and all topics outside the school
educational curriculum through non-formal practices
c) Based around hands-on active learning
d) Has both an educational and play-based aim
e) Develops the pupil both socially and intellectually
f) Taught by teenagers to other teenagers/children

In the first weeks of the club, our members will receive a peulá created by members
of a Jewish Youth Movement in São Paulo, Colonia da CIP, and learn more about
what this methodology really is. Next, they'll learn about how to give these peulot
and what it means to step into the role of an educator.
After a few weeks, our members will create their own peulot activities based on the
necessities of our partner institutions, and give these lessons to the institutions or
around campus.
We will collaborate with other teens from other schools, exchanging knowledge and
insights on diverse subjects!

(These are two of the "murder boards" we did for an activity with the almost the whole high school! We ended up making 7 of these signs!)

What Sets Us Apart

Club Description:

In Construindo Mosaicos, our members learn how to become leaders and educators,
teaching children and teens through a methodology called "Peulot". This
methodology uses a teaching approach that transports learners into microcosms or
imaginary worlds, facilitating engagement and comprehension through
non-traditional methods. Throughout the year, our members will develop numerous
"peulot" lessons covering a range of topics. These lessons will be shared with
institutions across São Paulo and with members of the Graded Community,
enriching educational experiences beyond the confines of traditional classroom
settings. If you want to learn more about how to educate other teenagers and
children about a wide range of subjects, how to empower people around us through
education, or are interested in immersive, play-based activities, join Construindo
Mosaicos!

About Us

At Construindo Mosaicos (C.M.), we are dedicated to develop future leaders and educators. Our core mission is to empower our club members with the tools and knowledge to educate our community on various issues, especially those concerning social justice. In CM, we teach our members to become educators, where they acquire the skills to educate other children and teenagers. By investing just a few hours in crafting and delivering lessons on vital subjects, our members will grasp the vital role education plays in shaping society. Through this hands-on experience, they will gain a profound understanding of how education serves as a tool for positive change, empowering them to make a meaningful impact on the world around
them. Through our lessons, our members become activists, and step into the role of an educator, where they cultivate leadership skills, and in turn, contribute to making the world a better place.

How Does The Peulot Methodology Work?

Here is the step by step:

Ending:

Through an engaging ending, the students will learn about the theme and reflect on all the bases that they went through, as well as what they learned

05

Bases:

Each character, or educator, will have a base, where students will pass through and learn more about both the theme and the story. The bases have activities in them that will attempt to transmit a message

04

Repeat:

Now that all the steps are completed, the students can return to step one and start again with a new lesson!
